The Republican Party has become a criminal enterprise whose sole purpose is to promote and protect a criminal. We need to stop thinking of it as a political party.
I think the link is pointed to the wrong place. The last sentence in the George Will opinion discloses that his wife works on another Republican presidential campaign, someone I haven't heard of....
Will briefed Reagan in his 1st campaign, & his then wife got a job in Big Ed, where she proceeded to raise all sorts hell because she wanted her Downs son to be mainstreamed. It was as sad & pitiful as it was provoking. (Disclosure: I was on the faculty at Gallaudet, and she played hell with Deaf ed.) That he'd indirectly shill for his wife's preferred candidate is no great surprise. I'm afraid Will has about the same sense of what's proper for a journalist as Thomas as for a justice.
Look, if nothing else, I just cannot deal with the return of inconsistent capitalization in government communications. That alone is enough to make me willing to join an uprising.
