Congrats on 20 years at Tufts! Presume the profile picture of you is in Tailloires after a run up into the hills? So glad you found a spot that you are happy in!
Congrats! I remember meeting you my first year at Fletcher as a new and exciting professor and taking your class my second year and absolutely loving it! All the best!
One of my favorite columnists at the Washington Post, its great to hear the backstory and the environment that supported you to provide a unique outlook to the public while doing your daytime job. I guess the joy did seep into your writing especially since your move to substack. Looking forward to the next 20 years.
You're a good man, Charlie Brown. I applaud you for acknowledging your denial of tenure 21 years ago, by the nitwits at U. of Chicago, who lost one who would have been a great creator and contributor to them for decades. Thank you for sharing so much of your Insight with many, many of us for 20 years.
Not the most vital thing in life (food, shelter, etc.), but finding ones place is always a good thing.
We should all be so lucky - not sour grapes; in an ideal world, we would all find our place.
Well done!

Twenty years?! I remember those years and transition. I can only compliment you on your growth and rising visibility. Well done!
Congrats! I’ve been reading since your previous university. I feel old.
Congrats, Dan!

I think I have been reading your thoughts for most of that time, through various blogging platforms and now on substack. Time flies doesn't it?
Jack
Congratulations.
I remember you blogging about the move and the disappointment at missing tenure in Chicago.
I am glad the story ended happily. Happy endings for good people is always great.
