Thank you! Thank you! For being the first, in any of my news feeds anyway, to point out these seemingly obvious problems with Trump’s economic proposals. I find the complexities of inflation, supply chains, consumer needs (wants, desires?), and their interrelationships with politics too difficult to put into easily digestible sound bites. If it’s difficult to have this conversation with my educated friends and business associates, how the hell am I/we ever going to get through to the average Trump supporter? Inflation is such an important issue in this presidential campaign (singularly causing some of my acquaintances to turn against Biden) that explaining its true sources seems paramount in moving votes back to the center.
Only the best economy in my lifetime between 2016-2020. World peace. No dead American soldiers and failed leadership lying about it and obfuscating the truth.
But yeah, vote for the brain dead potato meat puppet cadaver stand in for Obama. That will fix it. Four more years! Four more years! Chinese Spy Balloons for everybody!
You are desperate, and it stinks to high heaven. People call MAGA a cult....and then there is you "guys." Grasping at straws and screaming into Substack isn't going to cut it.
Why is Trump even evaluated as a candidate on the same plane as Biden? He is an insurrectionist and wannabee authoritarian dictator who has no meaningful policies (except for the few America First policies that are spoon fed to him by his right-wing backers). He should have been incarcerated long before now. Why give him or his policies ANY airtime or attention? He deserves nothing more than a back-of-the hand reference. To do otherwise just allows the rest of the media to do the same, and that is how we wound up with him in 2016.
If you have issues with Biden's foreign economic policies, fine - write about that. But don't elevate Trump to the same level as a comparison. It does harm by giving him even that much attention.
