You make an excellent case for publishing reviews directly online by the reviewer. The publisher can take it up if they want but otherwise, tempus fugit. Although a journal published review I did 5 years ago of a book published 10 years ago is getting more looks in the past two years than anything I’ve ever written.

"sanctions have become the Oxycontin of American foreign policy" is a good line. but very annoying when the author does not respond to legitimate criticisms. many such cases!
