Eh. You're making the mistake many people make of thinking humans are robots. I doubt a guy with poor poll numbers and no cult of personality can get enough people on board with anything batshit crazy even if he tries to go that path. In fact, it seems that Bibi is less militarily hawkish than many of the other key Israeli decision-makers.
No expert here: but I have questions, and it's so hard to ask them given the pain, suffering, and emotion surrounding Israel and the Palestinians. Historically, does Hamas negotiate with the government of Israel on anything? I read there were more work permits for Palestinians issued before Oct 7th, because it had been relatively peaceful. Was that worked out with Hamas?
