An interesting side note to this article would be an analysis of international reaction to Biden vs to Trump. In this area, it is a night-and-day difference, I believe (though I haven't researched it because I need to maintain my amateur standing!)
Anyway, as far as Canada is concerned, our reaction to Biden is both respectful and supportive. I don't think our government, particularly Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland, could have rallied the finance ministers of the world to support sanctions against Russia if the Biden administration hadn't been leading NATO.
