I would vote for a deceased Biden before I would EVER vote for that lying rapist stinking diaper conman lying orange bald lying piece of shit trump. At least Biden surrounds himself with competent, professional, intelligent, public service-oriented people, which has already been proven to be the exact opposite case with lard ass.

Biden reportedly has a cold. I wouldn’t sound my best under those circumstances either.

Also, cogent sentences win with me over constant lies any day.

This was the political equivalent of a hobo fight. I hope that most normies were not paying attention.

That didn’t go too well, eh?

First Daniel thank you for this site. Your nuanced approach encourages intelligent interaction, so different from expletive-filled "hate" sites. These act, terrifyingly, like Orwell's "Ten Minutes Hate", where partisans stand in a sort of group-induced hysteria and shake their fists at the screen.

Second, I forgot to pour my own glass of whiskey. This would have made the debate easier. I'll send you a bottle of Dalwhinnie when I'm famous : )

Final proof that yes, “Crissakes! I would make a better President than that guy!” is a 100% true statement from *any* American adult besides the two actually running. Sigh.

“everything he says is a lie.” Almost every statement Trump makes (and Joe, and most politicians) is an opinion. Opinions by definition cannot be true or false. They are opinions.

So a few things:

1) Almost every statement Trump made in the debate was an attempt to assert a fact. So your comment is a bald-faced attempt at a lie;

2) Almost every statement Trump made in the debate was also a flat-out lie;

3) Opinions can most certainly be true or false.

4) I am growing weary of your disingenuousness.

Well Daniel you're in my sandbox now, logic and rhetoric, so I'll be gentle : )

1. You are mixing terms. Look up the definitions of fact and lie. These are not related, provable by examining opposites, the standard test.

2. Nope. You will find it very difficult to find a statement by either candidate that's "a flat-out lie", or any kind of lie, given the definition. Mirriam-Webster: "To make an untrue statement with intent to deceive".

3. Sorry, but opinions cannot be true or false. "Statements of opinion are claims that cannot be proved true or false with objective evidence because their assessment depends on individual preferences and values." (harvard.edu)

4. In bringing a nonpartisan clarity and rigor I'm the opposite of disingenuous. I only want to add value Daniel, and can leave whenever ya want. I'll miss our discussions, however. And think it would be a loss for your site. But that's only an opinion : )

Trump said Biden let in 18 million immigrants. Trump said Democrats support infanticide.

I could keep going too.

Are you trying to claim those are "opinions" instead of flat out lies?

Huh? So if you say "the sky is green" on a clear summer day when the sky is clearly blue, that would be an "opinion"?!? I'm sorry, that is BS and that would clearly be a lie. The problem with you and too much of this country is that you folks are too disengaged from reality and facts.

Expand full comment

The sky is blue is a fact. I'm the best president ever is an opinion. And the problem with you and too much of this country is that you folks accept a spoon-fed narrative dished out by your favorite partisan sources, whose business is to distribute propaganda.

LOL. You resort to an ad hominem attacks when you've got nothing. The plain truth is that Trump stated many falsehoods akin to "the sky is green".

Expand full comment

There's nothing ad hominem in my response. Better get out the ol' dictionary. And you're running from the point, which is the difference between fact and opinion. Again, refer to your dictionary.

OK, it's pretty clear that I'm arguing with someone who doesn't even understand what "ad hominem" means. I'm not going to waste my time on you.

Hey, I thought the argument about golf was the highlight of the whole debate!

Now we know why Garland is withholding lawfully subpoenaed evidence. He should be rooming with Navarro and Bannon.

Well, shit. It is unfortune that the Democrats gambled so heavily on Biden and didn't really bother to have anyone lined up to replace him if his age really became an issue. It's also proof that we're living in the worst timeline that there doesn't seem to be anyone that everyone wants to see as the next president. anyone who might be able to handle half of the problems that're facing us. Harris may prove to be good as the first female US president, but at this point, it's a matter of which old white man dies or otherwise disqualifies himself sometime between now and after the election.

The Democrats didn't primary an opponent. Biden walked thru alone, without a challenger and without debate. The party is not living up to their name.

What a disaster.

On substance Obama-Romney #3 was still probably the worst debate I ever saw because it was between two people who presumably cared about substance and did not give fact checkers full time employment.
