As one of the high school friends attending the game, I congratulate Daniel for aptly capturing the craziness of this contest. However, despite his descriptive skill and considerable literary flair, the live experience still far exceeded his excellent account of it. It was a night to remember, and wonderful to be so connected to friends that I’ve known for 45-50 years!
Glad to hear you had a good AAA experience. I attended many PawSox games over the years. Bleacher seats were $5 as I recall, refreshments were half the Fenway prices, access from SouthCoast was easy and parking was free, and the knowledgeable crowd knew who was on the way up and who was on the way down. Plus, of course, McCoy had irreproducible cachet as the site of the longest game in professional baseball history. I haven't been to Polar Park and will probably never get there, but I hear that the neighborhood is now a happening restaurant and event district. Yes, minor league baseball is a joy of summer.
Alas, new ownership moved them to Worcester a few years ago, I think because of a sweetheart deal. Though I will acknowledge that Polar Park in Worcester is a way better environment than McCoy field in Pawtucket ever was.
Love the baseball coverage, and an added benefit is no trolls. Who could possibly object to such innocent fun? Oh wait ....

AAA baseball is the best because there are never any pitchers' duels and the score is always something like 16-13.

Loved the Diamond twist on the baseball diamond!
That sounds so good! I was at 10 cent beer night in Cleveland so I was expecting something very different.
What happened to Pawtucket? Did they lose their team in the latest minor league realignment?

I am a expert on baseball pal!
But better you stick yo that, especially after the events of last 24 hrs. DesAntis and I crushed you and your Marxist following.
This was fun to read. Thanks, Dan.
So good!
