Dan- I think you misunderstand the key sentence from Stefanik. The scandal is the broad radicalization of higher education in this country. Its a scale far broader than the individual or collective bullet points that you shared.

Seems to me that the Stanford Prison Experiment being a fraud is the biggest collegiate scandal in US history. Decades of social research built on it, and it impacted the world well beyond academia.

There’s a typo in the Stefanik quote - she said “Scandal”. Unfortunately for her, there are these things called K-dramas /notreallys

Elise Stefanik sounds more like her master/ leader/blowhard every day. She used to be a bit more reasonable. Or as the saying goes: (I paraphrase) if you want to see the true personality, give that person power.

Duke Lacrosse left off the list intentionally? USC pay for play with high profile actresses thrown in prison? Oberlin framing a bakery as racist and paying out $36 million in damages?

The list goes on and on. Seems pedantic to fake fact check Stefanik on this one though. She is talking about DEI and without a doubt that is the biggest scandal and fraud perpetrated in education and onto the modern Western world in the last two centuries.

It's dubious Stefanik has a functioning conscience, so bad idea to trust anything she says.

The cheap shots at university presidents and their salaries are not limited to the right either. It's a fairly common left-wing talking point that presidents are overpaid, evil, etc. for doing things like balancing the campus budget or trying to raise money. A Scylla and Charybdis situation, to be sure.
