VPs usually don't matter much, especially since no one likes Haley. Anyway, I think DeSantis' political skills are massively overrated: he's extremely popular in FL, but on the national level he's just another wacko in the Mastriano/Masters/Oz vein.
There's also the fact that Trump would absolutely destroy him, even if DeSantis somehow won the primary (which I think is extremely unlikely).

In other words, how is Nikki Haley, I dunno, feeding herself? Does she have a sinecure at a think tank somewhere? If not, is running for president a way to get your mortgage paid monthly?
(I figure the answer is 'no', but I imagine *selling a book* while running for president is a way to pay the bills. Is that why she is doing this?)
