So what do we get from the KSA? Intelligence and military cooperation? I’m not sure why the US should be a foe of Iran (which may have a completely new government or civil war fairly soon anyway). The only thing I can think of is that too many people’s careers are committed to the KSA-relationship even if it doesn’t make sense any more.
